    Anne Franks's story is one that is unheard of and irreplaceable. Frank writes about how she basically grew up hiding through a time in which her family was sought after by the germans. She writes about their daily life when things are happening to describe how her family lives. Anne describes how they bathe, how they talk to one another, how they eat, and how they use the bathroom. Meanwhile, her family is just trying to make it seem normal to do normal family things like celebrating birthdays. Anne is still doing normal childhood things like reading, and math. All while her family is under persecution not knowing whether they will be found and sent to a camp where they believe they could potentially get gassed. She describes the family finding out about what is going on with the germans all around them going to people's doors looking for Jews. Throughout the whole text, it is her coming-of-age story with her trying to grow up, and find love while under persecution. 

    The quote from above was chosen to demonstrate the time in which Anne Frank was going through as a child. Anne was around thirteen in early adolescents going through puberty almost, and that weird time in children's lives of change. She had to learn about all of it due to her persecution and hiding. Everything that was normal to her was not normal for most people at this time. Anne and her family had to sit still for hours on end, not talk to each other. Anne spent most of her childhood in isolation and still tried to be a kid. Anne was trying to find a light at the end of the tunnel, be happy and maybe find love.
